Sharing of scientific knowledge with the world’s ALS leaders

This afternoon, we were welcomed at the IBYME by Dr. Maria Claudia Gonzalez Deniselle and Professor Dr. Alejandro F. De Nicola, Superior Researcher of CONICET and current Director of the Neuroendocrine Biochemistry laboratory, where the role of progesterone in ALS animal models is studied to extrapolate results to the clinical conditions that they represent. We agreed to share this scientific knowledge with the top ALS leaders in the world in August.

 

Dr. Roberto Sica will give talks to patients and relatives

This morning, we reached to an agreement with the prestigious neurologist and professor on a series of conferences for the community of patients, relatives and people affected by ALS. The purpose of such conferences will be to talk about origins and causes of the disease, treatments, clinical trials, and other matters related to the pathogenesis, as well as shed light on the respiratory and swallowing functions in patients. The first talk of this cycle will be in April. The date will be confirmed soon.

We shared an academic training initiative on ALS research in Mendoza

We were at the region’s national university site with Mendoza Chapter’s representatives, where Dr. Israel Vega, Secretary of Science and Technique of Universidad Nacional de Cuyo’s Medical Science School. We presented a training project on ALS for researchers, scientists and professionals. The university chancellor’s office will consider it within the next days for approval.
